Thanks to Pope Fauci et. al. for ruining Halloween for all these kids. Was a perfect evening -- 55 deg., sunny. We had maybe 6-7 small groups of kids (normally goes all night). Usually have transfers from other neighborhoods. Nada, nothing. Have 4 bags of candy left. If you can go to freaking Walmart, you can go trick or treating. F them all.

Kudo's to the young princess giving them all the middle finger, eating her candy as she got it.

We’ve had the most kids i can remember in years, they are still showin up. This will vary by area im sure

Plenty of trick or treaters out in central Indiana this evening. Amazed to see how many parents were wearing masks as well as those sitting in there driveway, 12+ feet from their candy table, again, wearing a damn mask.

We got one tricker treater at the house.... my grandson...we usually get 20/30 when it’s cold and rainy.....he won all the candy

Glad some of you had visitors. Blue state IL sucks.

In my Las Vegas neighborhood we never get any tricker treaters didnt even bother to buy candy this year as I am overweight enough without chowing down on snickers.

We had some but not as many as most years

I was driving home form the marina this evening and usually the part of town I drive thru would be teaming with Trick or Treaters. I did not see a single one. Not surprising for our blue state. These liberal idiots are easily manipulated and scared into compliance. We cancelled plans to attend a Halloween party being thrown by a member of our past Yacht club when we heard that there would be fifty plus peeps in attendance with pot luck food. I'm far from paranoid but one can not deny that there is a heightened risk of this Covid thing spreading during social events. If I get sick, I am confident that I won't die but the A&P program that I teach at would be shuttered for the rest of the semester and thirty students' education would be interrupted. I am doing what just makes sense to stay healthy for those in my circle of influence. I am sure however that small groups of kids traipsing thru the neighborhoods having wrapped candies tossed into their bags would pose absolutely no harm at all!
Carpe Diem

99% of houses in our area were lights out. Saw total of 5 children.
Went to Costco and it was closed.
Off to grocery store today to see if we can get our summer supply of boat candy at a reduced price. Last year they sold out before Halloween

We were pretty close to a normal year. The weather was ideal last night. A perfect Halloween evening. One slight positive from the current insanity was the number of families out in their driveways with fire pits in our neighborhood. Outside, drinking a beer, staying warm and handing out candy.

Yeah - we had a whopping 7 kids come to our house. We could see our whole block lit up with neighbors waiting to hand out candy. Sad and weird. We still had our neighborhood get together with cocktails, a bonfire and laughs outdoors.

Such an ignorant post. 230,000+ people dead isn't enough for you??? I work in the Immunology industry, second line support, and things are getting crazy. SCREW your Halloween, I'd rather see fewer kids die from Covid.

Oh stop yourself. Kids are at little risk. Add to the fact walking around the neighborhood and getting a piece of candy is zero risk as well. Generally, you need sustained exposure to the virus in a closed environment to get it (15 min 6 feet is what the CDC science says). Trick or Treating does not lead to transmission.

Why?.. why start something after the fact?... you should be picking on thanksgiving...every home will be a super spreader event.... we are a bit of an overachieving home and are having two thanksgiving dinners :)

Per the CDC. From onset of covid to Aug1, 120 kids have died from covid. Most were from other issues, asthma, obesity and cardio. Less than 10% had no underlying issues. So 12 kids....My kids passing from covid is the farthest thing from my mind. The damage being done to our economy and their education worries me far more.

They trick or treated til they dropped and it brought me much joy. 8 & 6 so these are prime ToT years for them

For the record, this killed all the covid at my home during Halloween Saturday. We were safe.
