I tried to PM Dave S but it his mail is blocked so I thought I might try to reach him (or anyone else) with an open topic on my starter/solenoid issue...

Quick question...when you had your starter issue awhile back and you replaced the intake mounted solenoid to fix it.....did the bad solenoid still click when you turned the key? My 260 almost left us the other day...but it would click on the intake mounted solenoid but still not turn over. I feel I may have a bad starter. I have a spare starter I can swap out but I thought the top solenoid might be the issue.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Kendall

you can use a jumper wire (or even a battery jumper cable) to bypass the remote starter solenoid to test it.....with the jumper wire connect one end to the wire coming into the solenoid and connect the other end of the jumper wire to the wire leaving the solenoid...if the engine turns over with the jumper wire installed the solenoid is bad or has corroded wire connections....

Thanks guys. I will try jumping the solenoid and check my cable connections. Another weird thing I forgot to mention is that the no start only happens when the engine is warm/hot. Starts fine when cold at the dock....

And that was typical of my problem as well.
