The 12V cigarette lighter-type socket below the stereo in the cabin of our 1999 290 DA is dead. I've searched the whole boat over for a breaker or a fuse, and found nothing. I've reviewed the schematics in my manual, and can find mention of the 12v socket at the helm, but not the one in the cabin, so no clues there - maybe I've missed something. The 12V socket at the helm does work fine. The 12V stereo in the cabin, directly above the socket works fine. I've pulled the cabin socket, and the wiring on the back is properly attached, and I still do not have voltage at the back terminals. Does anyone know where SR might have hidden a breaker or fuse for this circuit?

Good question - I have a breaker at the helm a 12v socket - but I assume that is just for the one at the helm. I do not have one for the one in my cabin. On the main junction box in the bilge there is a space for an Accessory breaker but mine is blank - maybe you have that?

I had trouble chasing a wire down and called sea ray after trying the online diagrams. They pulled their wiring diagram and were able to give me the chain sequence and solved my problem. You might try giving them a call.

Kurt, usually the one in the cabin is piggy backed off of the back of the terminals for the one at the helm.
Check there to see if the wire connection came off. (when you come back!)
Sometimes comes off doing the tight access to the panel under the helm.
