Have to agree with the above, the 340 is not an easy boat to tow. When we had ours delivered, mainly by Interstate, we had to have some of the electronics removed from the radar arch just to get under some bridges and that was on a low-loader truck. I could not imagine towing it for fun....but suppose it could be done.
I tow my 2000 340D from Priest River, Id to Anacortes, WA(395 miles) every August to cruise the San Juans. Last summer we ended up cruising in Desolation Sound, BC. I have a 4 axle trailer and the weight of the trailer and boat is 16,800. I tow it with a 2009 Dodge 3500 Dually. The width is 11'5" so I have an oversize permit but don't need pilot cars. I have attached the radar (GarminHD) so that I can get it off the arch in about 10 mins. That leaves the boat height 13'4". I have no bridge problems on the way over. It tows nicely at 62mph.
