So you drilled a couple holes in the bottom of the aft rub rail? Maybe I'll give it a shot.
I did. Big ones, relatively speaking, at what I best could figure were low points. My aft joint was worse than yours when I took off the rubrail. I had big long sections with no sealant. I used a lot of sealant to seal it back up.

The only time I get water in there now is when it rains sideways into the engine vent (freshwater). And a few cups in aft bilge when on plane, from seawater forced back down the bilge pump hose.

Any recommendations for replacing interior salon carpeting?

Go to a carpet store and pick out what you like. Have them bind it for you. You can use your old carpet as a pattern.

Or go to a boat carpet specialty place and pay 10 times the cost for exclusive "yacht carpeting".

Thanks Capt Ronn. I tried 1 carpet store and they sent me to a canvas shop. I'll try other carpet shops.

Call around, and ask if they can do the binding there. If not contact an upholstery or auto upholstery shop and ask if they can do the binding.

Binding is not hard or complicated. I can purchase a binder for my walking foot sewing machine relatively easy, and the process is easy.

About to become a member of the 400DB club! With any luck, i'll take ownership within a few days.

Quick Q: Does anyone make the canvas attached to the bottom piece of the radar arch, or is that a custom piece? Picture attached. Thanks in advance!

Custom..

Hi everyone, has anyone else had the problem with the air not turning on. I put it in heat and it works fine. When I put it back to cool the compressor won't come on. Thanks. Greg

Not sure which AC unit you have, but it sounds like the reversing valve has stuck.

I have Cruiseair. I thought the same thing about the reversing valve but the unit was already on cool when I noticed it wasn't cooling and both units are doing the same thing.

So when you place it to cool, you are only getting fan air, and no cold air, correct? In heat are you getting hot air?

In cold the fan runs, but compressor doesn't kick in, correct? And you say both units are doing the same thing?

Yes, I get hot air and the compressor comes on . In cool the fan is on but no cool air and it is both units doing this.

Silly question but are your inside temps warm enough to trigger the AC for cooking?

Found it.

My starboard system is getting back fed from the port side via the battery isolator.

How I know? Just hooked up the port battery side, everything normal. Cleaned all terminals and was hooking up the alternator line to the strbd battery terminal, and my cabin systems came on, without touching the starboard batteries.

My understanding is the isolator should prevent this.

Going out to by a terminal block and remove the isolator from the system.

And, here we go again.

Had the boat out today, after 30 plus minutes running, the starboard engine dies.

Engage emergency start, and the engine comes back, but as soon as I release the emergency start switch, the engine dies.

Pushed the emergency start, and shoved a piece of cardboard under it to hold it ON. Started the starboard engine and drove home.

In the slip, as soon as I pulled the cardboard out, the engine quits. No voltage on the starboard ignition.

Just for curiosity, I swapped port and starboard batteries to see if the problem followed. No change, problem is still the same.

It acts like a bad ground. I’ve checked all grounds and cleaned them.

This started in the spring when my starboard battery died and I replaced it, before that I never had a problem. The only other thing that changed is I replaced the 90 amp fuse to the engine.

Hi guys, I need to replace the OceanAir screen/shade for the hatch in the Master stateroom. Anyone know the part number? The "Passed Inspection" sticker is there with a spot for date and model number but it is blank.

Also, Thinking about removing the cabinet and TV in the salon. Can you post some pictures of how you changed it? Looking for ideas and inspiration.

Thanks in advance.
