After dropping my cell phone in the bilge a few times I decided to add mirrors to the fuel tanks on the port side. Should have done this a while back. Great idea for changing the impeller and keeping an eye on what’s going on back there.

Brilliant! Have you changed the bilge lights to the daylight LED yet? Those plus your mirrors ... great idea!

Very cool...another project to do!

Has anyone made a panel for this area of the dash? I'm planning on installing my boost/egt gauges here and may have to do some cutting of that area. Plan is to have it covered with a matching wood grain panel for a cleaner look. Does anyone have a template or measurements of that area? May not get to the boat for a week or so.

When adding a 12” + 16” Raymarine screen I replaced my mid silver colored forward and port side panels using these guys:

I like that... Time to call the plexi glass dealer

Is that unit compatible with existing sensors and sending units ?
It can be depending upon which modules you add to the system. With the RIM100 for example you can tie into any power on and off circuit and monitor that status. I completely replaced the SR systems monitor system and am convinced it is far superior; I have a thread on that replacement.
So on your boat (2007) all of your sensors are part of the Smartcraft data network; you cannot simply tie into the sensors and expect anything to work.
But you can provide a conversion of your Smartcraft network to NMEA 2000 and have all that data (engines, tank levels, rudder position, etc) available on that display as well as your chartplotters if they are on the NMEA 2000 network. I can get how mine is configured (2006) with some photos of the Maretron display and what it provides if you like.

This is the NMEA 2000 system I have on my boat; it's quite extensive but you can get the idea of how Maretron integrates. For my boat I get all of the Smartcraft data on the NMEA 2000 network via the Mercury Vesselview 7. Mercury makes Smartcraft to NMEA 2000 converters also if you don't have a VV7. I haven't added EGT yet but it will be a simple addition of the Maretron TMP100 and temp probes into the network. BTW - don't worry about those Maretron NBE100's you won't need them.

Is there a way to display my factory trim tab data via nmea or do I need to upgrade the trim tabs to have that feature

Some examples; there are pages and pages of data that I have
Including fuel tank levels
Generator data -
