Yes, the bellow split causing my worst nightmare. I removed the pump assembly and worked on it on the bench/bilge floor. I used enough water and degreaser to fill a swimming pool to clean up the mess. My advice it be proactive and change the bellow too. The port side is on the list for the spring, but looks much easer and I will have a chance to flush the system before I begin.Tim, Did you take the pump assembly off and replace the duck bills on the bench?
I'm guessing you did. In that case it is 4 bolts for the pump assy and the hoses.
Unless you pump out every weekend, flush and then pump out again you may want to consider the Carters poopy powder regimen.Whenever I have to work on the head systems I flush a gallon of Simple Green. It smells much better when you remove hoses, or replace duck bills
A few questions:My starboard toilet won’t flush and I noticed that the toilet vacuum pump won’t stop.. Any ideas on what the fix is and the difficulties involved. Thanks.
Make sure that you rule out the seal on the toilet.
The duck bills are not too bad to replace but getting to them is hard unless you remove the exhaust tube.
Maybe someone who has done the exhaust RnR could give some tips. I have heard it is a 2 person job. Once it is out, the tank and pumps are accessible. Not as accessible as the old 380 Sundancer though..
I used 3 inch Jeep body lift blocks to raise the platformThere is plenty of room for the tender to clear the chocks. Mine felt like a 5” step down, but the difference was only 1.5”.

I did. Presto davits.Has anyone installed Davits them selves ... or have any pictures of doing it.?
I recall the port is the house and the starboard pretty much runs everything on the bridge. On our boat the 12-50 pronautic charges both banks and there is an older charger for the thruster which is 24voltsGood morning. Can anyone explain which batteries go to what on a 2004 420 Sedan Bridge? I have 4 batteries. I imagine 2 are port and 2 are starboard. Which bank is house or are they split between the two banks? I know there is no dedicated genny Battery. Also, what charges the 2 bow thruster batteries? Thanks in advance!
This is next to the house and port charger under the stairs to the washer/dryer.Thanks. Any idea where that bow thruster charger is located?
There is an area along the engine room firewall, directly below the sofa that has access near the light valence in the stateroom. I found it when fishing line level outputs from the stereo to behind the sofa. That gets you into the room at least.
It wasn't something as "official" as a cover plate. As I remember, there is essentially a crevice on the inboard side of the valance. I think I took a few pictures to help me blind-fish from the sofa area. Let me see if they are still around...Hey baj,
I never got to this "12V outlet" project in the VIP stateroom but I did look at the firewall at the time. I was looking for wires going through the firewall. I just re-read this, is it a cover plate that is the access point?
Thanks for re-visiting this !!
Cheers!
I’ve ordered two new vacuum pumps and a new discharge pump.A few questions:
- Does it pump the bowl/line empty when flushed?
- Does the bowl hold water with the valve closed?
- After flushing, does any vacuum at all get created?
Could be something stuck in the duckbills, a problem with the toilet valve seal, or worn-out duckbills.
