I think there is a way to do it tru the couch. Measure...... I think only one piece has to be cut and screw it back... If I wasn't at work id look. We did mine a few years ago and I don't remember. But we got it down tru the couch. BUT a 16,000 btu unit back in its place.

Did the Sea Ray instructions work for you? I got them from Sea Ray yesterday but I was unable to get the stairs out (the triangle counter top interferes).
