48 DA Owners Club

I saw these on Amazon as well. Are they the same as the original. As in ok to be used around gas/fumes, etc?

I didn’t know before mine failed....started the boat went around the corner to the gas dock...filled up ...port wouldn’t crank just dead... mechanic came out and jumped it on the solenoid itself ... he didn’t have one and Cummins happened to be in the marina...he came over had a few in the truck changed it out in a few minutes...said he replaced 5 in the last two weeks... I now carry a spare...$22

Where are the solenoids located? Do you have a picture?

The 200 Amp fusible link that I shared was for my bow thruster. On my 2004 420, it is located on the engine room bulkhead starboard of the centerline. The batteries for my bow thruster are in the center of the engine room, forward.

Thanks!

Anybody have info on the windshield wiper blades and where to get them?

Blackwater Hoses:
Has anyone replaced their blackwater hoses that run from the head to the vacuum generator in the engine compartment?
Mine are original and while the outside jacket is cracked, the hose is dry and no odor is apparent.
Trying to ascertain if it is a 1 hour job or a 10+ hour job.
Thank you!

I have been told this is a 10+ hour job... I have been getting ready to do mine but was waiting to talk to fellow member Jeffery as he took it on and want to learn the pain points first before preping. I remember him saying the engine room bulk heads and lack of space in the back were issues. Either way this is a bitch since toilets have to come out also.

Well today got the new Fusion installed and fixed the panel light. Radio is awesome, Set up 3 zones, Cockpit, Salon & Bow. All controlled from my phone, love it. Still finishing the Nema 2000 connection to my MFD's should finish this tomorrow and I am also building Nema network to prep for the vessel view to feed the MFD's. Replaced the light in the electrical panel to my surprise it came on as soon as I connected it. It doesn't seem to have a switch and is on all the time when the 12v panel is hot.... Funny I guess no big deal but I might through a switch in there at some point.

Spoke to Sea Ray directly and they were super helpful. They sent me powerpoint files on how to do it, and layouts, etc. Happy to share but the files are too large to upload here. Even turning them into PDFs they are still 3 files of 3mb each. Happy to email to anyone who wants or if there is a repository I can upload to just let me know.

They estimate it would take 2 people 5 hours to replace the lines to the heads in both berths. The macerator and holding tank lines an additional 2 people @ 4 hours.
