48 DA Owners Club

Looks like it is staying east of us and running up the Bahamas. It may clip Palm Beach but still just a Cat 1. Only issue is it slowed down so for us it is going to be a little windy all night. Wet side looks to be east but I am sure we will get some rain. I am going down today and mess with things and will probably go back tonight when it is blowing harder just to check. I plan to leave my cover on the back unless it gets crazy windy. I am in a really protected marina so I should be fine. We have 12 slips and 2 are guys that have lived there for years. They both road out Andrew in their boats!!! So they help by keeping an eye on everyones lines. As I write this the outer bands are starting to send some rain as it just started raining as I look out in the backyard.

Best of luck, Grant.
Hope it passes through quickly and with no issues.

Drain line from the cockpit air has a twist and is basically collapsed on itself. The light is from a cheapy borescope camera. I think it's great.

Slow progress. Not sure why it's collapsed..can't seem to untwist it to get it open.

Well at least you found the problem... shorten that hose and get it flowing....

Best of luck, Grant.

It passed...total nothing burger. went to the boat today and removed all the extra lines. Thank God dodged another one.

Amongst other things, cleaned out the shower sump y'day. While I was at it, I tore that black gasket strip of whatever it is.. does anyone have an idea of what is is and where to get new material to replace it?

I just replaced mine with some closed cell weather striping from HD. Worked perfect.

Anyone replace the Norcold with a Vitifrigo? My friend in is 46 that he just got has one and it has 1 cubic foot more space that then Norcold. My wife has fridge envy and won't let it go.... I think she is going to stick a knife in the coil soon to get her way!!!

I am looking to upgrade my electronics (MFD, radar & Autopilot). I spoke to a couple of installers and they informed me the new Raymarine Axiom units will not talk with my vessel view monitor and provide me with fuel and trip data (I really like that info) Has anyone upgraded from the E120's/Autopilot? What brand and equipment did you upgrade to and are you happy with your upgrade? What are recommended cautions you can provide?

Thanks,
JB

They speak fine with the vessel view system as long and you hook it up with the nema 2000 gateway kit.

Anyone know if where I can find a 48da owners manual online? Preferably download version?

Great thank you. So I found the panel box that houses the windlass breaker apparently but due to the tight space the panel door barely opens but not enough to reach the breakers. Anyone know what I’m missing or how to take the door off to get to the breaker. My wife stepped on up and down switch and tripped it I believe. There isn’t any power to the windlass or even the rocker switch when I turn it on

You have to remove the whole door to the box.

Busy weekend...
Bought a new toy... Installed the new H3O plus davit system and had the kids drive the new toy (Yamaha EX-r) up to Ft Lauderdale from Key Biscayne on Friday night. Got the davit installed (little bit of a bitch) on Saturday and pulled up the toy to do a full service on Sunday. Leaving next friday for the keys for a 4 day break since the Bahamas are closed decided next best thing is the Keys. Dive gear is loaded and ready so plan on eating a lot of Lobster.... Staying in Coconut grove Firday night and then headed to Post Card inn (formally Holiday Isle Marine) on Saturday - Tuesday. Looking forward to some fun.... Bringing the new Drone so should have some great pics....

It looks like a little toy on the back - is that just the angle? My raft(s) on the chocks seem to take up so much room - I haven’t tried putting my ski on the back.
