Guys ,
I always have used feet guard ethylene glycol . Part # cc2825 it's green

Buddy picked me up a gallon and now it's blue ? I didn't use it . Jug was sealed . Anybody know if they changed anything ?

The propylene is blue and can't believe they would have the same color

Thanx for any help

Rob

Rob, i am with you, i had my coolant system flushed 2 years ago, was green, they went with factory antifreeze, now is blue! Call Bill at wesco to confirm.

Rob, when I changed mine it was blue, as was the original.....

Mine is blue as well. Got it from Cummins tech when did the service and coolant change. the original coolant in the system was also blue.

I called Wesco . The local cummins dealer. They said I should be Blue. WTF.... I have always been green. I think I have lost my bloody mind.

Thanx guys

Rob

Cummins sells a green antifreeze called "Fleetcool" that's standard life as opposed to the blue ES Compleat extended life that is spec for their marine engines.

Here is the real poop.. Both are EG based and both 100% compatible with the other, and according to Cummins, basically any other type of antifreeze...I'll take that as gospel..

Your call, but remember this—Cummins mid-range engines engine are not coolant sensitive to where it really matters in the big scheme of things. This ain't no "Yanmar" with very odd aluminum alloys used in their coolant components...

You have plenty of things that really do matter and none are connected to the type of antifreeze-- they part the of the seawater system, engine loading, exhaust system design, alarm system operation, saltwater spraying on things, etc.. Just never seen one of these engines go South early on because of the color of the antifreeze..

Tony ..

Is it necessary to get the antifreeze tested by a lab like we get our oil tested? I just changed out 14 gallons with ES Complete in the mains. One was green, the other was blue. Both tested depleted on the strips. The PO, Morgan Jane posted that he services his heat exchangers in 2011, so I figure that is the last likely time the coolant was changed, unless he just topped off.
