Well my sump went bad this weekend. Is it easier to just pull the entire unit out or take the switch and pump out by it self? Seems a little tight in there. :smt100

fwebster said:I don't know which sump you have, but most of the time the problem is not a faulty switch or a pump failure. Instead, it is a bad wire splice that has gotten wet and corroded as a result of inadequate sump maintenance. Before spending any money, I'd first cut the butt splices out and replace them all with silicone filled shrink type butt splices and see if $2 worth of fittings doesn't fix you up.
