Bad shower sump

Which of the two went bad? Switch or pump? If you can find the exact match replacement, maybe replacing the entire housing is easier considering the tight space.

But replacing just the switch or pump shouldn't be bad either.

I think I would decide on this one based on what is easier to access (with reference to the scews).

I don't know which sump you have, but most of the time the problem is not a faulty switch or a pump failure. Instead, it is a bad wire splice that has gotten wet and corroded as a result of inadequate sump maintenance. Before spending any money, I'd first cut the butt splices out and replace them all with silicone filled shrink type butt splices and see if $2 worth of fittings doesn't fix you up.

Thanks Frank. The connectors looked fine but when I Pulled on them one came apart and there wasn't any connection being made inside of it. New connectors and all is well.

Thanks Again! :smt038  :smt038
