Battery Charger died, Batteries went flat. Are they still OK?

When my Promatic 21-3 (24v) for the bow thruster batteries acted up last year, I replaced it with the ProNautic 2430 and received much better performance. It was a larger unit however and had to be mounted horizontally due to space constraints. I might upgrade the 12v charger as well this year.

Got this thing in today. This is one of the best upgrades I've done. I cranked up all the 12v stuff - lights, computers, livewell, etc. and the cabin panel showed 48 Amps being drawn while still showing 12.5v on the meter. I've never been able to do that. If you have a 480 DB and the original PD2050 piece of crap... upgrade to this Promariner charger. I should have done this years ago.

Gary, how big of a project did this turn out to be? I am upgrading my batteries so that means the charger as well. The Pronautic 1260 seems like the way to go and I have found them for as low as $302. I'll check with BOE as well...

Just saw this. I had a move a few things on the mounting board to make it fit but it was fairly straight forward. I have not had any battery drain problems since doing this upgrade. Again... one of the better things I've done. The OEM PD2050 thing was crap... really...
