I clip another boat anchor and bent one of the vertical railing and cracked it also. Anyone know who might be able to provide a replacement. Can be welded on top and screws in hull at the bottom.
Yes, a good experienced welder can replace the damaged stanchion. They are thru-bolted, not screwed to the deck so the welder may choose to replace the vertical tube only and weld the new tube to the base and top rail, then polish the welds. The trick here is to find a welder that knows what he's doing....this is a common repair and is easy for an experienced welder to do.
Your best bet is to find a good welder. The pipe is easy enough to source and he should be able to get that, as well. The piece you are referring to is not available as a separate part - meaning, the entire railing assembly is a "part" from Sea Ray (and is not always available, anyways). Either way, a good local welder is the direction you want to go. Most likely he will want to remove the base plate from the deck - meaning, you'll need to get to the nuts on the inside of the boat as these are thru-bolted.
That seems to be a pretty common mishap around here. Probably the same where you are too.
Check with the service personnel in your marina or boatyard. They probably have the name and number of someone locally that does that kind of stuff.
It can be expensive though.
There is a lady welder around here that lots of them use, she’s good and knows it so she charges accordingly.
