Canvas Arch Mount Help

Hey Guys I have this mount that the the canvas Bow goes on and the bolt that's in it is wonky for sure and its kinda off angle. Is there a specialty bolt for it of some sort? Every year when we winterized it and they come off I keep my fingers crossed.

Based on visuals alone, it looks like perhaps that bolt is too long....and maybe isn't threaded properly for the face plate fitting, a reason it may seat at an angle instead of straight. Are all the other frame bolts similar? If there are different types, remove one from another part of the assemblage and see if it fits properly into this part of your frame; if it does, get that one matched. Alternately, remove one of the face plates and take it to a shop; it will help if you can snug the pole against it and measure the depth of the face plate plus the eye hole of the bar so you know the max length of bolt/screw to get.

Actually I left it semi un-threaded to show the angle. It threads in fine but the "bow angle" verses the bolt angle is something I've always wondered about. I just wanted to see if someone had some insight or a better mousetrap.

They make ball and socket type mounts that may make a better fit. I am not sure it will work at such a extreme angle but worth looking into. It would require putting a new base onto the arch and a new cap on the end of the canvas pole.

It doesn't look like that would work at the angle you are trying to achieve but they may have other versions on it that would work. I know they have one Ophir a right angle on the ball that may work.

That is the wrong type of bolt for that mount. It should have a shoulder bolt in it. Here is an example:

based on your link I actually found it at Sailrite. I'm ordering a whole mount just to have a spare in case it strips out just in case.
