Replacing hoses and hose clamps. Got everything pulled together except the hose that goes from the Turbo outlet to the aftercooler inlet, and the 2 clamps that hold it in place.

My local cat dealer cant find part numbers, and neither can I online. Anybody have the CAT part #'s?

Or what are you using? There are silicone couplers on amazon that I think would work just fine. I can find the worm drive clampson the cat site, but need working diameter.

Example..https://www.amazon.com/HPS-Silicone...346910&sr=1-8&keywords=2"+silicone+turbo+hose

Trying to save a trip to the boat to measure, prefer to drive to CAT to get parts.

David - my CAT dealer - Stowers Chattanooga - found them easily and ordered them for me a few years ago. They have (had) my serial #'s in my record and it took them no time to find them. Michael Hoover is my parts guy there 423-698-6943. Tell him hello for me - I just got some SOS kits from him...

I'll try them...Local CAT dealer is Yancey. Good Guys. Just cant put our hands on this info.

Carter Thanks...

Your dealer knew the part...AND You!

Parts are

Hose 126-5882
Clamp 144-0367

If you take your engine serial numbers and arrangement #'s to a Cat dealer, they should have online access to the Cat master parts system and finding part numbers should be easy. Even on out of stock parts, the longest I have waited for ordered parts is 2 days. I've bought Cat parts from Thompson Cat in Nashville TN for 2 years and they have never even seen a marine engine.

I am not where I measure one, but having been thru a recent complete aftercooler service, I can tell you that the after cooler hoses and clamps are critical, and super hard to replace (with the aftercooler in place) if you split or blow one off.

This is just absolutely not the place to use generic or aftermarket parts.

For what it is worth............

Thanks Frank.

I had a CAT clamp fail while on vacation this summer, and replaced with a WM version (constant torque, not cheapo). This has been on my list to fix along with a bunch of other hoses. The local CAT dealer has been very good, but had trouble finding these two items even with serial #'s, not sure why other than they don't get much marine engine traffic.

Everything on the cold water side getting a refit this winter with CAT parts. Just finished cleaning and priming the repaired water pipe and port oil cooler. Have a few more weeks for the new Starboard cooler to arrive. Will paint the new cooler and get it all back shiny and new.

Glad they were able to help. Like Frank said about Thompson CAT in Nashville, if Stowers didn't have my part, they got it in two days and listed it as a "stock" part so I didn't even pay shipping. And as Frank said, now is the time to replace those two hoses and Belleville clamps with the aftercoolers off.
