I have the same boat and engines. I do mine myself. Starboard is super easy. 30 minutes to an hour. Port requires pulling airsep filter housing and air pipe going from aftercooler to engine, to get access. 1-4 hours depending how experienced the mechanic is. So 5 hours labor max. Shouldn't cost you more than $600-$800 if you hire it out.Checking here to find out about location and costs of changing impellers on a 2001 400 Sedan Bridge. These are Cummins engines 430Hp Twin Diesels 6CTA Diamond series. We were given a quote of $2000 to replace both impellers which seems high. I noticed $600 above. We are East Coast in NY. Also, can anyone post a picture of the location of the impellers? Thanks.
Follow the hose from the strainer to the pump. On the aft side of the pump is a triangularish plate with three bolts in it. Take of that plate and there is your impeller.
