Dolphin Stampede...

In Prince Williams Sound (PWS) in Alaska we would hve these (Pacific White-Sided Dolphin)
pop up in our wake, along side and in front of our boat all the time. Very cool!

Dolphins are also very common around where I boat. I love to take people on "dolphin cruises" for two reasons.
One- it is pretty cool to see them and everybody has a great time. They do get close, like only 2-3 feet away at times
Two- most of this is done at idle or hull speed so fuel burn is minimal.

I would be afraid of running one over!!

I have never seen so many dolphins in one area like that.

That is very cool. We see common dolphin most of the time we are out on the water. I don't know that I have seen 2,000 (as the video states) at one time, but have seen several hundred before in one place. If we make some circles or figure eight's, they usually surf our wake for fun.

When we were in Key Largo looking at the 400EC two dolphins followed us in our wake. Pretty cool. I think that's why the Admiral said, let's buy her. Haven't seen any in the Chesapeake Bay.
