Engine Room Ventilation, blowers, sizing, gasoline vs diesel and other thoughts

Any idea of what they do on the outboard models?
Hard to say. Looking at the construction of the storage well, it looks like it is separated from the rest of the hull. There doesn't appear to be a bilge pump in there and it has a smooth fiberglass surface, so I would guess it's a drop-in mold.

The aft storage area where the generator is seems to be the traditional brushed gelcoat. I can't tell if the bilge area runs under the storage well up front, where there is a hatch for a bilge pump. I'd guess it's a continuous space under the storage area from bow to stern.

This is the gasoline requirements again. Diesels can have a continuous bilge. Gasoline will rarely, because then every component in the boat would need to be ignition protected. So assuming they are not diesel outboards wherever the gas tanks are would be segregated from the cabin bilges somehow.
