Last weekend we got the boat unwrapped and the canvas put up. Good thing because this past weekend we had gale force winds. We would have had shrink wrap and canvas blowing all over! We were able to get the systems and engines commissioned this weekend anyway. Just in time for 3 nights of freezing low temps! WTH? I ran down to the boat after work and put two heaters back in, just for pierce of mind. Unbelievable.

Yeaupp...I've got friends launching this Friday. It's 15 degrees outside right now with an inch of snow (and ice) expected tonight. Depressing. Though I'm feeling better and better about being way back in the building I'm stored in. May 1st launch should be just enough time to eliminate the risk of more snow :)

You think you got troubles, I'm sitting here by the pool trying to have a cup of coffee and that damned sun is coming up and shinning in my eyes and the damned songbirds keep chirping.
That's just cold blooded.....:p

17 degrees this morning.
Supposed to hit 70 tomorrow.
Back down to the low 30's Thursday.

Someone in your situation should not be posting in the mid Atlantic group! Just sit there, sip your coffee, put on your Ray-Ban‘s, and be glad your face doesn’t hurt when you walk outside!

I’ve been at the boat since Sunday. I commissioned the HVACs 10 days ago. Then we get this slap in the face. And at my marina, we have to watch for blow-out tides with these sustained winds. Don’t want to suck up mud into the AC cooling water circuit. I shut all AC systems off last night about 11:00 pm as my depth reading went out —which indicates very shallow water. This morning, the water has returned and the heat is back on. Glad I was here.

I'm indoor stored until next week. Hopefully good weather will return for the ride to my slip.

I went to the boat last week in heated storage…. It was 57 degrees in there…. I started sweating when I picked up a beer. It was actually too hot to wash down the sides let alone waxing. No joke…. Sounds like we all have problems

Didn’t you post a pic of your boat sitting on the bottom and no water?….. same place? I am not sure that place and me would get along

I hope this is the last blast of winter. At least I decided not to drive to Pottstown PA yesterday, that pileup on 81 was horrible. I have not had a boat out since December. I am itching to get on the water. Come on spring!

This is why I don’t uncover until mid April, no matter how nice the weather is in March.

You guys are starting to make me nervous…. I am working 7 days a week now…. Just committed to 7 days next week. My son schedules the shop…. Talking to him this morning … He said dad I just can’t see where I can give you a day off :eek: How is that for what the Phuck happened ?

Sounds like it may be time to start employing a little "quid pro quo" when dealing with that boy.

I plan on de-winterizing the HVAC system this weekend and hopefully start cleaning (if the dock water is on). The 2 week outlook looks decent on temps, fingers crossed.

One of you needs to fire the other one...

I had to commission early because I will be taking her up to Sunset Harbor next week for some out-of-the-water upgrading. Didn't want to wait until the last minute to make sure she powered up and ran!
