Got mom tipsy....

Here's a couple pics from today

My mom, who has Alzheimer's and is like the movie "50 first dates" has never been drunk. Tonight, I changed that. Sneaking her shots of patron and peach schnapps. This disease she has really sucks but tonight we're making the best of it and enjoying our time together.

Glad you had a good day with your mom. My mom died in 1996 at the age of 73 with dementia (never fully diagnosed as Alzheimer's)so I know where you're coming from. My Dad ended up leaving money to Johns Hopkins for research into the cause of the disease and I sure hope they come up with something.

It was my absolute honor to be in the company of your Mom Shaun, and Dad as well. Real Americans with both damn feet on the ground! Years from now we will all be so sorry for what we lost and did so on our on home front.

I am not a whole person without my Mom and Dad but am content that my, later in years afflicted with Alzheimer's, South Pacific WWII veteran Father does not see this.

I had to the pleasure of being in company of folks that reminded me of the two above.....thank you again to the "Lucky's" family.

I really enjoyed conversations with that classy Lady!

Keep the Faith...it may be all we have.......and our Sea Ray's.

As far as the 510, not sure yet but you can bet "Lucky" will be part of the name!

It's not fun is it? We had a tv show here years ago called 'Mother and Son' a 50 yo bachelor living with his mum with Alzheimer's. I constantly comment that it's my Mother in Law.

Heather received a call from her mum tonight.
