I had to rebuild the the generator's engine two years ago. I ordered parts from Hanson Marine. I ordered extra parts when it was not readily discernible if a set was per unit or per engine. I ended up, for example, with three sets of piston rings when a set was all the rings for the engine, rather than one ring set per cylinder. I still have those extra parts that I'm not likely to use. I saw Hanson Marine at the Atlantic City boat show on Sunday and asked about my parts. Jon gave me his card and asked me to call him this week. I left a voice mail message today for him with the invoice numbers and parts numbers for the unopened parts. A short time later, Tracy in the parts department called back with an RMA number and told me I'd get a full refund on the unused pieces. Darned good customer service considering the order is nearly two years old.

My experience is a little different - I'm still waiting for a call back from John regarding a quote to install a gen on our boat since last May. He said he would call and schedule a time to see our boat. BTW Hanson's office is is about 10 miles from us. It's too bad we actually have money and will do this, they just won't be the ones who get our business.

Yes, that Hanson Marine. I have nothing but a good experience with them and thought that they deserved to have that publicly acknowledged.

I had a great experience with them when I had a problem with my generator. Their technical support was excellant (helped me diagnose a difficult problem) and they sent me a free starter motor on a generator that was over 5 years old (but had low hours).

I would highly recommend them.

I guess what I am hearing is my standards may be a teensie bit high, and I might want to reconsider my position?
