I know many of you are up in the winterize zone, but I wanted to share some pics takenon DEC 20, 2009 on board our 270 Sundancer. We left from South Shore Harbour in League City, TX and cruised through Clear Lake out into Galveston Bay. It was about 60 degrees, clear and a slight breeze. I hope you enjoy them!

I'm jealous! While you were out changing your ignition switch and boating, I was photoshopping Christmas ornaments on my boat. Somehow that just doesn't seem fair. :smt017 lol

Thanks for sharing photos of what I dream about doing!

I gotta move to somewhere warmer!

Great pic's! We are fortunate to have such a long boating season in the Galveston Bay Area, with typically very little, if any, winterizing required - despite the freak mini-blizzard we got a couple of weeks ago!

Away, The christmas pics you posted were great. I saw a lot of boats decked out today on our cruise. they must have been leftovers from our annual christmas boat parade that went down last weekend.

There are still a few slips sitting empty on our pier. come on down until you thaw out. Houston job market is looking really strong!!

Mark, I have been trying to find another Galveston Bay boater on this site with not much luck. Where do you have your boat?

Very tempting!

I should go visit my Dad in the Keys too!

Our 240 stays on its trailer high and dry when its not in the water. We do go out into Clear Lake and Galveston Bay more than any place else, and even out into the Gulf of Mexico once, but we also do trailer trips to various lakes.

Welcome to the Bay Area boating scene - that's a great looking boat and it looks like you and your crew had a great time today!

Wow...Awesome. I am certainly jealous since I am sitting here with a damn sinus cold and the mercury is only peaking at the low 20's..WTF?

Thanks for sneaking in that pic of the downeast style boat....Looks like a Grand Banks????

i think it is a mainship or ou may me right it could be a grand banks. that thing is breathtaking. I love that style but my wifie likes the express style. I can't complain either way if it has a motor and it floats it is ok with me!

Nice Pictures--we just received 26.5 inches (a record) of snow here on Long Island so I signed into CSR just to take my mind off the snow--its not working, winterizing s@&ks.

FYI: it's a 29 Back Cove (built by Sabre in Maine)

Sorry, you southern boaters SUCK! In a good way!

We had our Maiden Cruise yesterday going from Alameda, CA up to the Delta where my new to me boat is comfortably docked in her covered berth. We took a route under the Bay Bridge, cruised by Alcatraz Island then Angel Island before ramping it up to cruising speed for about 2 hours to get her home. The weather was great and my "crew" took a lot of pictures that I have to get emailed to me to post...

Hopefully the weather for New Year's Eve is good so we can come back to the bay and anchor overnight & watch fireworks! :smt038

It was sunny and 45 degrees here yesterday and we went out cruising.

With the cmaper top in place it got up to 75 degrees in the cockpit. The best part was our lake was virtually empty save for a few hearty fisherman.

I love winter boating in the Carolinas. :smt038:smt038
