hole plug for salon table base ??

Any good ideas on how to plug the salon table hole base when not using the table?

Get somebody to turn a plug out of aluminum or Starboard to fit the hole in the table base. Leave a groove for a rubber/nitrile o-ring on the plug which will keep the plug in place once you insert it. Then mount a pull ring in the top of the plug to remove it when you want to use it.
