ice maker for 320 dancer

It usually goes in the larger storage compartment under the sink, providing you don't have fridge installed there now.

I have a feeling that it most likelly will not fit in there. However, instead of guessing, I suggest to research on various compact models and using their dementions just measure to know for sure. I think the biggest issue will be depth. But, it might be possible to move the back panel slightly deeper inside the storage under the port seat. So, knowing the exact dementions of a unit is the key.

I'm with Alex, I'm not sure if you will have the room. Here are some pics that might help,

This is picture of 2004 320 that has a factory installed ice maker.

This is what it looks like behind the fridge on my 320.

Vince,

From what I understood, Goran has cockpit fridge and wants to add icemaker next to it. I've never seen it done on 320s.

I don't see how there is enough room, that area is angled and the two units would most likely bump into each other.

You may want to consider a small portable unit. It is much cheaper. I know a lot of folks are going that route when their built in's crap out. For a hundred to one hundred and fifty bucks, you can't go wrong.

I tore my ice maker out b/c it becomes useless due to the taste of the ice from the fresh water system....not good!

I put the fridge in its place and love it.

Just food for thought

If you keep your water tank cleaned and maintain it, continually use the water, the ice tastes fine. We love our ice maker and it works great. Our neighbor, also a 320, has the frig. We still like the ice maker more.

You imply that you're using your water tank for drinking water as well, ice would end up in your drink anyway? We use drinking water, so ice maker wouldn't work for having ice for drinks, and our FW tank is aways clean and has fresh water. If you feel comfortable with your city water, then it's a different story.

Wow thanks guys! You are really helping me a lot. I think that i will go with the portable ones and maybe it will fit next to the fridge on the cockpit??? Has any body done that yet? Thanks fellas.

Other than a portable unit figure if it's worth removing the fridge and replacing it with an ice maker...

I am looking into removing the Icemaker in my 340 and ordering a frig. I don't use the water enough to mentally think it is clean and safe. Plus, it is a nice place to store cold drinks. The only down side is if I need things frozen. I could use the ice to keep the portable cooler full.

It's all about personal preferences, but I think that majority have fridges. We have no need for an icemaker while fridge is much more desireble addition.

This is a nice inexpensive way to make ice and you can use bottled water.

I have one, it is quick and I know of three others at my marina who have purchased these and swear by them.

Target has them

Another alternative is the combination fridge that has a smaller icemaker. The ice bucket is a little smaller, but it will easily hold a 12 pack of cans. I have a friend that has one on a Cruisers.

If anyone is planning on removing their ice maker from a 320, and wants to sell them, I have a couple of dock buddies that want to purchase them. Email me and let me know.
