I personally think if more employees were armed the crime rate would drop in the area
 
I agree, if more criminals were shot by their victims, crime will decrease dramatically. If crime doesn't decrease, the number of bad guys will at least!

A little street justice! If Kroger fires this guy for protecting their property and an employee then they should be boycotted!

On a lighter note. The State of NC has just passed a law making it legal to carry a concealed weapon in our public parts. A law suit is expected to be filed to challenge the new law as it overrides many local laws prohibiting concealed weapons in public parks. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
 
It is your responsibility to protect yourself and loved ones by whatever means necessary! The Police can not do that....they are not your guardian. Rather to be judged by 12 then carried by 6, Mike.

I'll look you up when I get up there Mike. Going to be in Ship a couple times a month until I move late spring/early summer.

It'll be interesting to see what their official firearm policy is. I'm all for guns but I don't think I'd allow every employee to pack and be spraying lead all over my store full of customers.

FBI statistics show less violence and deaths in Concealed Carry States. A armed society is a polite society. Most people who carry know the responsibility they are taking on. The Castle Doctrine is now in place in PA and will be used by the average honest citizen to save lives, Mike.

Cool, but what's that have to do with whether or not I allow my employees to have guns and shootouts in my store full of customers. The fact PA has the Castle Doctrine doen't mean I have to let you spray lead in my store.
 
Woody, I can see your point but I will tell you of a store in Indiana that all employees wear side arms who want to. This is a department store and yes they do sell long guns. Pretty unusual to have a store employee help you wearing an 38 or 44. This store has never been robbed and shop lifting is practically nil. Seems they have an internal shoplifting remediation system. Works real well too and completely legal.

I used to shop there just to see the people who were packing. BTW my wife worked there just after high school. She never felt uncomfortable to help any customer as they were always on their best behavior.

But....my gold cup is under the desk all the time when I am here
I personally would not kill someone over stealing money but if it is him or me...I will go home that night
and before it comes up....yes I have been in the situation and thank god did not have to drop the hammer

Sorry about that.....since it's your store, it's up to you to keep them safe. If you can't, they can quit or carry, Mike.

I always carry a knife since guns are a no no at one place I work.....I also trained to use it. It may not be the best defense but it's better than nothing. When I'm working for my own company, I always carry or my gun is within reach, Mike.
