Jones inlet to Statue of Liberty?

How long of a ride is it from jones inlet to the Statue of Liberty? I would like to take the trip but never done it before. Any one have a specific route they take? Did the fire island trip last weekend and it was great. Next weekend I would really like to go into the Hudson.

All about the seas. Should be less then 2 hrs for sure. lower NY harbor can get rough. Just watch the forecast

If you cruise at about 20 knots like I do, it's just under 2 hours from JI to the Statue.

I did this trip this past Saturday... Took Hour and 20 minutes from the time I left my slip at Jones Inlet until I was taking pictures with Lady liberty off my stern... We run about 22knota.... Seas were 2-3 feet and it was a perfect day..

Got a little wet on the way home with the tide rolling in as we were coming out of the harbor.. But other than that it couldn't have been any better...

I did the trip last weekend for Aquapalooza. We left my buddy's marina, Liberty Marina and were dropping anchor in Zach's bay in about 1.5 hours. The ocean was FLAT and we did about 27 mph. On the way home Sunday night, the ocean was not so friendly but we still made it in under 2 hours. As long as the ocean is calm, its not a bad trip but as others stated, NY harbor can get very rough and south Hudson river can be pretty bad from all the ferry traffic. As you get closer to the GW bridge, the river typically smooths out.
