I was going to build our dream home/cabin up north in the next year or two, but I think a better plan would be to sell our current home now while the Boise valley's market is insane, then live in the fifth-wheel until the housing market tanks. Putting up a new building then should be cake.Yup. And 7/16" 4x8 OSB is $55/sheet. was $7 last year.
At the rate they print and borrow money, I can't help but wonder why they even bother taxing us at all. So they can print less?
Yeah - what happened too going after the Millionaires and Billionaires? Now it’s the Thousandaires.....So the tax increase on the "wealthiest Americans" earnings threshold has been cut in half from $400,000 to $200,000. Well on it's way to $40,000. Didn't even take a week. And now they are spending $86M of our tax dollars to house illegal immigrants in hotels. Ineptness at it's finest.
Wife was just talking to her former student whose sister is about late 30's with 2 kids and boyfriend is in jail. She has never had a job and just applied and was accepted into the projects. The sister told my wife that her sister has $10,000 saved up in the bank. Ridiculous. I don't know many working people that have that much in savings
Wanna hear a good one? I'm a day trader and we already get hit with about a 30% tax on profits. Biden/et al want to change the way they are taxes. So let's say I buy AAPL for $1000. It goes up to $1500 but I don't sell. I wait and sell for $1200. I will still pay tax on the $1500 even though it was not realized profit. Legal? My argument is what if I bought for $1000 and it goes down to where I'm -$500 but I sell for -$200. Can I write off the -$500? Yeah right. I also heard they want to raise the tax rate to 50%.
This will run alot of day traders out of the market and as we have seen with GME day traders have alot of capital in the market. This will only leave the serious very experienced day traders left.
Think of it this way...I buy a house for $100,000. 2 years later it's worth $200,000 but I don't sell. 2 years later I sell for $125,000 but they make me pay tax on the $200,000 sale.
Not sure. I'm a day trader and rarely hold anything overnight but had heard it through my trading buddies.I'm curious, would you be nailed to the 1500 because it happened to be the value on Dec 31 of the tax year or because you are stuck with the HIGH it reaches during the tax year?
I average $2-$4K per season in gas (depends on who comes to visit). If that goes up to $6-$8K, ok. The cheapest thing in boating for me is gas. I just spent more than that having new flooring made, and some mechanicals that needed to be addressed (I don't have the time). If we had to worry about affording gas, we would need to sell the boat.Guys, I not gonna let gas price get me down, as long as I can float I happy. I doubt I spent $400 in gas last year, I am just happy to be on boat. Enjoy what we have, we are a small percentage that does.
That’s what I mean guys, the fact we on this site means we doing better than most, enjoy, be happy, life is good.I average $2-$4K per season in gas (depends on who comes to visit). The Biden administration and security forces are killing America's , small business and the Constitution. No surprise to me. Unlike you, I have a vaccination from my parents from the USSR from this s..t These people don't care about American citizens they lie all the time. Some surprises all the time because it's a lie.
