“If your push-button Pindicator model is used with a personal watercraft, Kidde does not currently have an exact replacement for it, but will provide a replacement that is U.S. Coast Guard rated, and similar in size. While it may not fit in the same location as the extinguisher that you currently have, there may be another space on your watercraft where the extinguisher can be stored or mounted.”

Also a reminder that as of 4/20 coast guard fire extinguisher requirements are changing

Flipping gong show …. If you’re still goofing around 5 years later you should be on your own

You lost me…. I can’t read all that to try and figure out what you mean?….Can’t you just tell us ?

Did you click on the link? Kidde will replace certain recalled Fire Extinguishers.

I am a huge fire extinguisher fan…. I have these big ass ones at the house… including both chemical and water…. Never used the things until last year.
I was burning weeds down by the curb and started the damn pine needles on fire and they started the tall ornamental grasses on fire ….. seconds later I had a holy shit moment….. ran back to the garage for this guy… it saved the day.

Still got shit from the wife for burning down the entrance to the driveway ….it was just half of one side..geez….so extinguishers don’t solve all problems :(

Whose race car hood is hanging wall?

It’s mark martins from an all star race he was in down in Charlotte …. Gordon, Earnhardt and Martin wrecked in a corner. I have some great pics of the crash….. and I got the hood. All kinds of tire rubber on the back. Wife won’t let it in the house :(

after I got it about a year later Martin offered to sign it if I would bring it down to IMS and I was busy or something and declined…. Wish I did now

A fire extinguisher can make everything a little better. Just make sure they are bigger than you need and you have enough of them.

Fire can take a lot more suppressant than you think. I watched a garage burn after it was “extinguished”.

MIS, I figure? Was around the Roush gatherings at Livonia and Daytona for a number of years. Saw Mark poking around Daytona Fun Machines while he was living in Spruce Creek fly-in. Now I think he's a mountain man up in Montana or Wyoming.

No Indianapolis Motor Speedway ……thats where I live. When Cummins was a big sponsor of his I was a big supplier to Cummins and got invited to a lot of races, drivers meetings promotion crap etc. We were never friends but he would recognize me and always say hello…. He is a very down to earth cool guy

Ok.... You've got me confused. You live in Indy, you boat at Catawba Island, Lake Erie and work in Brighton/South Lyon Michigan? Holy crap.... Long commutes to everything.

I was pissed they never had a replacement for the PWC versions. I got the replacements for them but went ahead and just bought new ones that would fit into the PWC tubes.

I didn't know the recall was still going on. I had several older expired extinguishers from my boat that I never tossed and they all qualified for the recall. I now have a ton of new fire extinguishers all over the house and garage, so those old ones came in handy.

They send you a box to return the old ones, but they don't really require you to return them. I used all my old ones up by having the grandkids discharge them outside so they would know how to use one, including having to pull the pinlock and point it in the right direction. They had some fun doing it, enough that I'm thinking about refilling them with baking soda and letting them do it again this summer.

I am sure many of you know but see below link for replacement fire extinguisher Kidde is doing for certain recalled units… Have three new replacements on the way.

You would be correct we have discussed this for years. Here is a thread on the colors they sent vs. the white I bought. They gave me a bunch of red ones then resent me white ones and told me to keep the red.

I never sent any back...
