Let me ask the Buyers a question

`I don't buy the statement that if the boat you're interested in is more than one state away, skip it.

When we bought Beachcomber (55 Sedan Bridge) it was in MI, I'm in WA. After 2 flights to MI, one with my wife, two sea trials, survey followed by 3-4 months of negotiations I bought it. Then took another flight to MI to supervise the teardown and loading on 2 trucks (one for the fly bridge) it finally was shipped to Portland, OR for reassembly.

I don't recall seeing what kind of boat it is, but if it's going to need to be torn down, find the boat tech who will do the reassembly and fly him to the boat to supervise the tear down. I wouldn't trust the yard where the boat is now to do the tear down. You don't want to find out later they just went in and cut a bunch of wires.

I should have bought Beachcomber. There was another members boat on here I wish I had picked up but Beachcomber, I always loved the look and style of the girl

Ask your doc for some one time anxiety meds, watch some "how a plane flies" videos and tackle it if you really really like the boat. A good broker will do Facetime and/or a live video with you as well. You could also work with another broker in that area as your broker, representing you, and let them take a look at it. I don't trust brokers in general though :)

There are meds for sure but it would have to be the one they gave me just before they cut me open…I’d want to see the boat not sleep my way thru it. I broke two fingers on my wife’s hand flying to Nashville. I have no idea why I can’t do it
 
It's normal anticipatory anxiety IMO. I used to have it, flying often helps, but it's still present sometimes. Pop a 1 mg Lorazepam when you get to the airport, wears off in 6 hours. Ask your doc for 3-4 for the trip. And watch those videos! Seriously it helped me understand how well a plane is built and why it will not fall out of the sky.
 
So we drove all the way from Charleston, WV to Atlanta, GA to go see our 320DA in person. That was after paying for two surveys in advance just to turn our backs on both boats. $800.00 out of our pocket both times. This time we went to see the boat first, then paid for the survey. We then paid for two months of storage at the marina while I waited for the work to be done on the boat while it was still in Atlanta. Go and see the boat for yourself, you will not be sorry I promise.
 
If I go up to a 40 I do want her to have CATs and a Genset. Mrs R thanks for posting those two. Both look nice in pictures, the 97 is closer to my price wish.
