Looking for a owners manual

Does anyone know how I can get a owners manual for my 1989 390 Express cruiser. I've tried Searay.com and they only provide the420 for 1989; I've tried the local Marine Max gold Dealer here, but they do not respond!! Any ideas?

Have you tried 1988 or 1990 sometime you will find them that way.

That's strange. SR's website does not feature your owner's manual for some reason.

I don't know the years the 390EC was available but I checked from 1987-1991 and they don't even list the 390EC in the dropdoen. I can think of two '89 390EC owners on this board who might be able to help - tobnpr and sprink56.

I have a 1989 390 EC. The owners manual on the Sea Ray site is for 1985 models. I have compared it to the one that is in my owners packet and can find no differences.

Download the 1985 version and use it. I'm pretty sure this is the same as the '89 version. The only differences in the later models from the earlier ones are that in '89 Sea Ray changed to fiberglass seat pedestals from plywood and different interior trim as well as a few changes to the cockpit seating.

I think he specifically requested an owner's manual. SR doesnt have one posted for the '89 390EC, just for the '85, as Sprink mentioned in #9 above. The owner's manual is a much larger document than the parts manual and it is usually found in the SR briefcase and binder that comes with the boat at purchase.

I really much watch what I am reading a little bit closer. I could also use an Owner's Manual for my 1988 390 EC. I sent out a request to Chelepop. Perhaps she can scrounge up something for us.

Hey guys, I sat down and went page by page with the manual that came with my boat and the manual that is labled '1985" on the Sea ray site. I can't find any differences. Most of the content is generic to any 390 EC from 1983 to 1992.

One thing I did notice is the instruction on how to set up the salon berth. Mine must have been customised at some point because my sofa back rest cushions are not removable. I have some oddly shaped plywood sheets with attachments for legs that are stored beneath my master berth matress and a bag of screw on legs beneath the sofa. I don't know how all of this comes together since the rear cushions are permanantly attached.

Other than that the manual on SeaRay.com is good for my boat.

When you find out how to make the couch into a bed let me know. I have yet to get mine to work.

It WILL work, but takes some serious thought! My advice is to NOT try this at 2am. after a night of boozing. Then it really becomes interesting with 4 or 5 people thinking they have it figured out. I will usually let my guests "have at it" at this point. Comical waking up the next morning sometimes and seeing what the end result was.

Only use this berth a couple of times a season, but will have to put the puzzle together again April 17-19 for a trip with 2 other couples. Sorry for the lack of assembly instructions but it's been a while. When the shrinkwrap comes off in a couple of weeks I can be more help.

My Name is Robert. This is not related to this post , but I am looking for any and all info, literature manuals, etc for a 1993 250 express cruiser. new owner, have alot of original paperwork, generic general user info. I am in need of any info on said boat. Mainly systems operation....Head, A/C , bilge pump, etc. I have VERY well maintained boat, but would very much like to restore to original as possible . Clean up aftermarket add-ons , wiring ,etc. And full understanding of system operations. I am experienced boater, but my 1st time owner with this type of Boat. Vast experience with RV camping also. My post that you quoted was in answer to a 1988 390EC owner. I have no information on the 250EC and have never seen one so I cannot help you. Sorry………….
