May he rest in peace - Dominic (OSD9)

Really sad news. If anybody here thinks it would be a good gesture to send something from the club to show his family how fond we all are of him then maybe I can donate a csr flag. I'm thinking we can ship it around and have anybody sign it that wants to, then ultimately send it on to his family.

Jim, that sounds like a great idea. Maybe, rather than ship it around, we can make it available for people to sign at the service (?)

How about us who are going to Knoxville?

This may take two flags, one in each location, and that's if everyone signs real small...

Wow, i am in shock. When I read the subject, i had to read it a few times to believe what I was reading. Dom was a great guy, always offering his time and knowledge to other boaters. He helped me with advice on my 410da many, many times. He will be dearly missed! This is a terrible loss! My heart felt condolences to his family.

I met and knew the MAN....and I am so much richer for it.

Love you Dominic, thank you for treating me like the most important person in town. I am honored and humbled by your friendship and will never forget it !

Jim- bring the flag to Knoxville
Mr. Dominic Annunziata in SRL... would be the right tribute !

Not to dishonor Dom, but I think he would prefer the picture of your boat with the huge "OBAMA HQ" sign on it....

Rick/Turtle - thanks for the great picture memories...

Wow...what can one say. I only got to know him through this site. I enjoyed his wit, humor, and candor. A loss for us all for sure. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family and friends. Calm seas and eternal peace...bon voyage.

RIP Dom.

Although we sparred more than once in these forums, I had the utmost respect for the man and his views.

I have no doubt the world is a sadder place without the likes of Dom.

The trip from VA to NJ, Dom Dave, and I cruising Gitana north.

It rained all night, we ate a platter of antipasto, arrived in VA, I returned the rental car and returned to find Dom and Dave fast asleep. I laid my head down and we woke up before sunrise to find a perfect morning to head north.

Weather turned to crap and we found ourselves in thick fog 25 miles offshore.
