Where can I find molded 1" rubber collant hoses for a closed loop cooling system. (Horizon) I searched all local parts places (marine and automotive) and everyone looks at me like I have two heads. I've even looked for uni coils and no luck there either. So what is everyone doing to replace the rubber hoses for their closed loop coling motors.

I called Sen Dure and they shrugged thier shoulders too.

This is for my Chris Craft with 1979-88 5.7 350 engine with closed cooling. They have to be making hoses. Haha

It's a long block rebuild motor by Jasper. It has a Jasper number....doesn't do any good. Jasper can't tell you anything about a serial number either!

I don't understand why everything is about the engine serial number. This motor never had closed cooling on it there fore a serial number wouldn't tell anything. I don't get it. Why make everything so dang hard to do. Mercruiser must be involved in this inefficiency. Just finding pcv grommets was like pealing my head back and pulling out my brain. I finally just used automotive ones.

I'm beginning to understand why people use car parts. Marine motors and parts availability sucks!!!!

Sorry about that moment of crazyness, It's comming honestly. Dang it. haha

Awesome, I was all over that site just picking different motor combinations, to no avail. But it looks like you might have honed in on something here.

Now I just hope the part numbers are good! The few numbers I could get off the existing hoses were obsolete.

Thank you so much for helping me have at least a direction to go in!!!!

Did you check the prices those guys get for a formed hose?

You might check for transmission cooler hoses....particularly on boats with the transmission cooler mounted on top of the bell housing. My boat has 2 short 90˚ hoses on the transmission cooler but I think they are 1-1/4" hoses.....they were $6.75 ea from Caterpillar.
