My Overland Trek to Lake Michigan

Actually I had my previous boat at Springbrook so I have first hand knowledge. It is has both pros and cons versus other marinas within 20 miles either direction on the river. The Seneca pool is much better and longer than the Dresden pool where I just left from Harborside Marina. The slips at Springbrook are not nearly as nice but cost 50% less. Service Dept at Springbrook is larger and more comprehensive. Heated storage at Springbrook is a little cheaper but harder to get in. Springbrook is more subject to Spring flooding than Harborside but better than the Starved Rock marinas. If you need more info pm me.

320 Bob:

When you get to Racine, stop by and have something cold (hopefully not just the east wind off the lake). We can talk 320's and Mariah's, and "old times".

We are planning on being in on May 6 if we can get her down from Milwaukee.

I had everything lined up to launch tomorrow but got a message advicing against it from PHYC due to the inability to complete the channel dredging because of wind and waves over the past week or so. My boat only has a 33" draft but the forecast for tomorrow is rain, southeast winds 15-25 knots and waves 4-6 feet so I postponed my launch until Apri 29th when hopefully the weather will be better and the dredging will be almost completed.:smt089
