Our 310 was named SUMMER BREEZE, Wondering if its bad luck to keep that name, but it would be
SUMMER BREEZE 2 or TWO....
Any thoughts??

We've held our boat's name (Three Boys & A Blonde) for the past three vessels. It's our "family" boat name:)

I sold my boat last month and am shopping for another. My wife made it a condition of sale that the new owner remove the name "Merri Mack" from our old boat because she intends to use it for the next boat.
The US Navy, of which I'm a veteran, frequently re-uses names without adding the number 2 in any way.
If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me.

I've changed names, but keep in the same "theme" (i.e. not same name 2, but a play on the same name). Key West Dreamin' was sort of nicknamed Kay Dee (or Miss Kay Dee when the admiral talked in her "dog voice"), thus the current boat is Miss Kay Dee.

Oh Man, I'm in trouble.
I had to change the name on my 330 express because it was named after the old owners business.
I didn't do the ceremony.
But, celebrating the closing I put a pretty good dent in a bottle of 15 YO Glenlivet.

Will that save me?

Bingo, if you shared a few fingers of single malt with the Gods, they'll likely forgive informality of it all.

He takes delivery on Monday. I like something like Sea Breezin' since you will be on the open ocean more with this monster!
