I have the boat listed in the title. I wanted a wiper on the boat, because when I purchased the boat it did not have one installed. I purchased a wiper arm but the splines were way to large for the motor that was on my boat. The motor on my boat has a 1/4" splined mount. I think that the original owner either replaced the wiper arm motor and probably used an adapter of some sort to get from the small spline to the larger spline. Anyone have any ideas????

Go to a Napa auto parts store (or equal) and they will have them. Just measure what length you want.

They will have the adapters???? I already have the wiper. My problem is mounting the arm to the boat

Another option would be to go talk to Ben at Richmond Marine. He may be able to help with your problem

This is is a tough one to find in an auto store as the splining is for a truck or other commercial application. Here is a link to the correct one: http://www.zoro.com/wexco-adjustable-wiper-arm-350-to-450mm-200717dgra/i/G4478616/ .

The downside of this one is that it is painted carbon steel, so it will rust before the OEM. The upside is that it is dirt cheap and has a modern J hook. I put one on my 98 270 this spring.

Try AM equipment. There is an adapter for the arms that reduces the hole size.
