Welcome, where do you keep her?

I too am looking at buying a 46 Sea Ray Sundancer. What are the details of your refit? Electronics etc? What are you learning that could be useful to me and others?

Best of luck with your boat.

Welcome aboard Jason & Julie! As Stephen said -- share some pics when of the progress.

Hi Everyone... I will gladly post some pictures. I only have a few right now. I must say I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and finish of the boat. The more time I spend on it and tear into things I am pleased at what I am finding. I have owned several boat and as a yacht broker by trade I am aboard every type of boat/yacht. I just moved the boat over to Tower Park yesterday to have West Coast Canvas start their work. We don't have a permanent slip for the boat but will keep her mostly at Tinsley Island during the summer months and between my office in Alameda and the StFYC in San Francisco in the winter months. We also plan to do some coastal cruising and possibly keep the boat in Newport Beach for a few months...

I found the boat locally through a connection of mine and was able to negotiate what I would consider an amazing deal on a 460. The boat only has 230 hours, was kept by the original owner up in the delta, has Yacht Controller and was well cared for. He passed away a few years ago and the family just wanted to get rid of the boat.

The refit consists of the following:
- painted boot stripe
- LED underwater lights
- pitch/balance props
- bottom paint
- KVH M3 Sat system on Seaview dual mount (Dish HD)
- new VHF antennas
- all new A/V equipment, Bose, 3 LED tv's, Fusion, Blu-Ray, etc
- Flexiteek decking in cockpit/swimstep (white caulking)
- all new canvas (white stamoid)
- custom bow sunpad with adjustable back
- extending the bed in master stateroom
- new mattress
- custom bedding, new curtains, throw pillows
- custom teak cockpit table (folds open to 52"x52", fills the cockpit for dinning large groups. When closed its approx. the same size as the stock table)
- Inverter
- misc custom touches...

We are looking forward to meeting other Sea Ray owners and getting together for social events, cruises, anchor-outs, etc... We average 10 nights/month aboard year around so we definitely will be using the boat...

You guys should have posted this last week. You could have met me this past weekend. I was at the guest dock at Oxbow this past weekend in the 340 Sundancer, Pretender.

I was at the end by the fuel dock with the 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks (dogs)

Welcome to the site.
