New carpet pics in a 1996 450DA!

The carpet looks awesome!! I need to get a quote myself.

Doug

Doug-

We've done a Larson Cabrio before. Give me a call or e-mail, we might already have that pattern on file!

Damn, Frank. Looks at least at good as my W-Mart stuff. Nice fit and finish. I'm guessing that you won't be asking about how to apply Rhino liner to the back. Very nice job. I, too, did not like the white gaps or the way is was divided up. Nice job.

I would like a quote for a 2001 340 DA... No swim platform carpet, just the cockpit... Thanks...

Looks great Frank! I love carpets in the cockpit. It make s the boat comfortable and classy. Flounder Pounder has some ss latches on their site for sale.

That does look great, I really like the look of custom templating right to the edge. I did that on our last boat, but this time I got lazy and used the template that they had on file. I wish I did a template because our new carpet doesn't fit right. The seat posts are in a different position, and it doesn't even cover the old snap locations.

I also really like the serged edge, but I wasn't sure if it would be as durable. Give us an update in a year or so...

I guess when I'm ready for new carpet again I'll do a template. But I got the vinyl ribbed backing also, so it may be a while...

I have a 2001 340da as well. Can you send me same quote pls?

A 2001 340DA would be $428.40 in standard Berber with FREE shipping and the 15% CSR discount applied. If you want the Premium Berber like Frank's 450DA, it'd only be $459 shipped and the discount applied.

Nice work and nice boat Frank!

Get those latches changed out!

Oh and put the Port trans back into neutral before you try fire up the engine and get the split second heart attack because its not cranking...Done that a couple times before I realized what happened and still panic.

Do you have the pattern for the 340? or do we need to send you the paper template?

My advice would be to opt for the better carpet. It is a denser tighter weave and has to hold up better.

I would also advise making your own patterns. it is a little more work, but that will fix any fit problems you might have now. Sea Ray carpets are not very precise and this gives you the opportunity to correct anything you don't like.

The up-charge for the serged edge is very modest and makes a very classy edge finish. I get as many comments on that feature as on all the other aspects of the carpet set. I've only had them for 2 months, but if it is like everything else I've seen from Corinthian, its going to hold up ok.

I have patterns for 1999 through 2002 340DA's and a 2006. However, as Frank suggested, it's always better to create your own template, so you can get a precise 'custom' fit, just the way you like it.

On last question... If I go like Frank, with out the snaps, how does the carpet stay attached to the engine hatch when it is lifted up???

Frank, My wife and I and are looking forward to meeting you when you come the CSR rendezvous at AC in July... With a little help from above, my generator will be running, my new SS exhausts will be installed, and I will have new carpets. It will be like when Luke Skywalker met Yoda for the first time...

Aaron,

I'm working on it....note the trunk latches.....but we are having a hard time finding stainless latches the right size for all those in the cockpit.

Frank - Carpet looks awesome!

I found SS replacement latches at the Marine Flea Market in Dania Beach for $24.00. They fit well. I replaced some but not all the latches on my boat. I spray painted the plastic latches white and it worked perfect. They look brand new and match the hatch cover again.

I'm not sure if the carpet would stay in place without snaps when the engine hatch is lifted up...For that particular piece you might need to snap it down.

Interesting. What kind of paint did you use? Is the paint showing any signs of peeling? Ive got a few cans of acrylic white paint from my failed frame restoration. Maybe I can try that? How did you paint them and still keep them functional?
