Welcome...put the model number of your DA in your details. It will make it more attractive for people to answer any future questions you may pose.

Scott, every day's a gift....and your Pats beat my Colts...what's the problem?

Peyton had it in his hands......and choked.

Could be worse, you could be a Niner fan...

Welcome aboard newbie. Nothing like getting baptised into the site by a disgruntled Colts fan.

PS. Go packers. Favre who????

Point taken. Lets see how the rest of the season goes. The scuttlebutt is that the Packers are coach killers. 2 so far this season.

Seriously what was Childress thinking with the moves he's made this year and will they take Brett back home in the team jet?

New boat owner

Hi,
I just bought my first boat, a 1973 24' searay srv240 sport
flybridge. I needs alot of work and I have alot of questions.
I will take all the help I can get.

I am currently gutting the boat. The engine is out and most of the wood paneling. First question, when we took the enginge out the bolts had wood dust on them. I learned that there are stringers in a boat. Wow, I thought a stringer was something i keep my salmon and steelhead on while I fish.
The bolts go into two blocks of wood and then into the stringer but just a little. I had the stringers and the transom sound checked and they appeared to be solid. I also drilled a hole in the blocks of wood and the stringers, both had good solid wood. My question is do I need to cut the floor and check the entire stringer, and if not should I just put apoxy in the bolt holes before reistalling the engine?

Hello,

New to the forum. Wish I was back in the San Juan Islands instead of freezing my arse off in the snow and ice...

Welcome Madrone,
Start a new newbie thread and add your boat info with pictures and you will get a better response. Folk here will welcome you if you present that way.
