Been a Sea Ray owner since 2004 and just found this board. Good information. I recently traded my 2005 200 Select in for a 2007 260 Sundeck. I got an all around good deal. It took a while but we got there. Long story.... Either way, I have read a lot of comments on the 260. I agree the Star Trek seats need to go. I asked to have them switched but I had already worn out my welcome. Oh well I will live with them. My wife originally wanted a 240 sundeck when we bought the Select. The thing she didn't like was the shallow bow seating. We took one out in some rougher water (busy day) and watching my daughters bounce that much was a deal breaker. We settled for something cheaper knowing we would switch out later. My wife fell in love with the 260. She laughed when I asked, If I can get it for "X" price would you agree? Well I put the deal together. Now I am the proud owner of a new boat. Has not been in the water since delivery day.

Welcome aboard! Where are you boating out of?

In all seriousness..Welcome to the board

Thanks everybody.

Bridog - Good deal is that we were happy with it. No really.. The good deal was that we bought the boat for 35% off the MSRP. The bank questioned the value of the boat. After a great deal of hassle with the dealer they finally decided to just send the actual invoice. The bank made the mistake of attaching it to our paperwork. We did not use the dealer for financing so they missed that portion. The fiasco began when the dealer entered the info for the Sea Ray rebates and they replied that they were no longer available. This was a deal breaker. Their rep helped resolve that. We negotiated a trade on our other boat after that. Only lost a couple grand there. No more than I would have had we brokered the boat. All in all it was a stressful few days but the deal eventually came together. I actual made an offer on this boat back in January.

Well, you certainly shouldn't need more power!

Any idea of your cruise speeds say between 3,000 and 3,500 rpm?

No idea. I have not had the boat in the water since we took delivery. I will let you know when we finally get to enjoy it.

So...35% off MSRP AND rebate dollars? Good deal!

Bridog - I guess they were tired of holding on to it. The whole deal was kind of strange how it came together. My wife was out of town the week I put the deal together so she missed most of the mayhem. Everybody involved appeared satisfied so I guess it was a good deal.

Congratulations!
A great day for sure!
Welcome to the zoo....
