New to the forum/new boat

So...35% off MSRP AND rebate dollars? Good deal!

No kidding! I got 25% and rebates on my 270 and was happy:grin:. Did hit them up for a full 6 year warranty though - they were happier before I made that demand:smt089.

RAZ congrats on the new boat, tremendous.

RAZ,
Nice boat, I'm in the process of making a similar deal on an 07 SD260 with the 375 and Corsa. Right now I'm at 35% off but the rebates are a problem, checking in on Saturday to see if Sea Ray will come to the rescue or not. Dealer hasn't sold a boat in some time, so I'm hoping to take advantage. If not, my 220Select is sure a nice boat.

The reason we are upgrading is that we can't convince our friends to buy boats of thier own, and the 220 is getting kinda crowded. (Not lookin forward to filling the 65 gallon tank at 4 bucks a clip, but gotta pay to play)

Cagnoli - I had a similar problem with the rebates. SeaRay had already extended the rebates by a month. The dealer said I had until April 14th. On April 3rd I get a call that SeaRay won't accept the rebate request. The dealer called their rep for help. we met the rep at a boat show ealrier in the year. was just a coincidence that he was the rep for our dealer. Our dealer could not bring SeaRay's to this show since it was out of their territory. The rep came through with getting the rebates. He actually helped us get another $1000. You sound like you are in the same situation I was in.

I also share the same problem with our friends. Heck why should they buy a boat when they can tag along with us?? They are good at putting into the fuel kitty. We never ask, they actually did it themselves. 4 bucks a shot is going to hurt but what can you do?

Yup, dealer talked to Sea Ray yesterday, and was able to secure 8K in rebates in the form of future discounts on a new boat ordered, and the dealer placed that 8K in my deal, and knocked off a few thousand more to "get me to my number". Deal was moved to Financing, I should be signing for the boat on Friday.

I told them not to put her in the water until the 15th of May, so I can get my yard work done. I don't trust myself if the "RumbleFish" is in the water and I have raking or tree trimming to do.

This way, not only do I get my yard work done, but they can get my boat name painted on, wax the hull, and detail the boat at their leisure. I beat them up pretty bad on the price and trade in numbers, so they were relieved to know that I wasn't going to demand putting her in the water as soon as the ink was dry on the contract. (It pays to be nice in the long run)

I'll post pictures once she's lettered, and in the slip. I'm going to update the Signature after it's official.

Quick Rundown:
2007 Sundeck 260, 496 - 375HP, Corsa, ITS with Integrated Bimini, Premium sound Plus Tower speakers, Docking lights, and the standard seating arrangment with the L lounge. AND I got the non Startrek Helm seat!

Only get 1/2 tank of fuel out of the dealer, but that's better than a kick in the teeth.

Good deal!!! I'll trade you the 1/2 tank of fuel for the other seats. Mine does not have the docking lights or the tower speakers. The admiral has kind of squashed the idea of the tower speakers. She wanted to know what the reason was behind it. I told her so I could hear the stereo while I was on the waverunner. She just loves the Corsa. too... We have only had the boat in the water once and she wants to know the purpose of it. She didn't belive it was a safety feature so people could hear us coming and going!!! Congrats on the new boat, can't wait to see the pics.

"Safety Feature" That's funny! I'll have to try that one with my wife. The Corsa is where the name "RumbleFish" came from. I'm very eager to listen to that roar. (I'm somewhat addicted to SearayJim's 540cid video on Youtube) The deal is official. The boats mine, and headed for the slip on May 15th. I should have them fill it with fuel now, while the price is still sub 4 bucks a gallon.

RAZ have you had your boat on the water since delivery? How has the ride / performance been compared to your 200 Select? I traded the 220 Select in with a 350MAG, and it was a little rocketship.

The ride is unbelievably better. It cuts through the chop like it wasn't even there. We have only had the boat in the water once since we bought it. We ran through some pretty rough stuff with no problems. I need to practice with the tabs. They definitely helped keep the boat level. The 496 through the Corsa is music to my ears. I was overly impressed with the time to plane. I was suprised a boat that big jumped on plane that fast. I cannot wait to get it back out. Hopefully next weekend will work out. Post some pics when you get them.
