I do have some good size washers, but bigger is always better. That's a great idea! I just worry that I'm crushing something that shouldn't be crushed!!You may want to put some aluminum plates or big fender washers inside to spread the load and avoid high point loading forces at each bolt.
Did the screw holes line up fairly close? I'm going with stainless when I do it.BTW, I did mine in stainless. I didn’t want to do that job twice
I don’t use any pink in the fresh water system. I disconnect the lines then open the all the cabin connection, the water drain into the bilge. Then I connect my air compressor and blow all the lines out. Be sure not to forget the valve that you connect for dock waterGood evening CSR members. On the post above, I found the problem. The cross-over was not completely open, DUH. Anyway I am about to winterize the fresh water. Am I correct that the first gallons of solution goes into the hot water tank first and you should shut the cross-over before continuing to add more?
I appreciate the input but I don't own a compressor. I have always used pink. The last two years it seems that I used so much. I was wondering the excess went into the hot tank?I don’t use any pink in the fresh water system. I disconnect the lines then open the all the cabin connection, the water drain into the bilge. If you're on shore power, it sounds like they may have something wonky with their grounding, at least with that power mast.Pulled the bot today for winter and my anodes are GONE!
All 4 trim ram zinc are gone, only the studs remain. The anode on the cav plate, port is 70 percent gone, starboard IS gone, just the bolt remains. The two zinc screw caps are al out totally dissolved and the 2 pound hanging zinc fish I use is nothing but a nub. My tab zinc are worn but not abnormally. I don't see any drive damage but WTH happened? I've never had zinc burn off this bad.
6 months slipped in salt water.
I guess the zincs did their job but why so much wear?
I had a battery go flat and charger went off on over temp. That was in early Sept. Hanging zinc looked fine then.
I had a slip neighbor for a couple of months in an old 1930s wood work boat, only unusual thing all season.
Nobody else in marina reported heavy wear, I'm perplexed.
I never pulled it totally. I pumped 4000UV into the screw holes and that stopped my water ingress issue.Scorpio, somewhere back over the years you rebeded your windshield. Well it’s about that time for mine. Question, the windshield seems to be split into three sections. The two side glass sections and then the windshield. Is that really the case? Is it a PITA to get things realigned once you’ve pulled the side wings? Mine needs new glazing and bedding.
