Yes. Click it up and it turns the power on. Then click it again and it turns it off. You will know by light on the rocker when its powered on

Welcome. I had to figure it out also. All my other boats i just threw the anchor over board and called it a day
Yep, only reason I know it works (I must have gotten lucky with the momentary switch) we have experienced dock mates with a 340 and we did a raft up. He guided us next to his boat and we dropped anchor. Ready? Boat coming from FL, not well maintaining by PO, me working on the essentials to clean up the boat (no excuses), the amount of rust/muck coming out of the anchor locker was amazing AND I had to continually scold the Queen while did she did her very best to keep the tangles and knots out of the chain and line coming out of the locker but getting dangerously close to the windlass. It was one for the books. New chain, new line installed windlass checked again, ready for the hook (I think)

I have the same issue. I can release from the helm but when i pull up i go to the bow and use he foot pedals. I have to watch the chain/rode connection cause it gets jammed up. I go slow and have to some times pull the rode in the locker to get it through

Mine was a mess, the rode was as stiff as the chain. Everything is working, not as clean as I would like it but much better, sometimes the Queen likes to tread where angels fear to enter. So I have to keep a hawks eye on her as well. Wears me out sometimes.

Hi folks I haven't posted in here in a while.

I used the air compressor method to winterize the fresh water system this past weekend and it worked out great. For the price of the little 3-gal compressor from Harbor Freight and some connecting fittings it's worth it compared to buying antifreeze.

A few thoughts.

There is quite a bit of water in the system even after the tank runs dry. As I was going back and fourth between faucets it seemed like it took forever. I'm not sure if there's a sequence on which to clear 1st. It did seem once the galley faucet cleared everything else immediately cleared right after. Next year I will do the galley 1st and see if my hunch is correct.

@Little Ducky
I too use the air compressor to blow out my fresh water lines for winterization.
I go from the longest run to the shortest run.
For me, that means starting at the fresh water washdown in the anchor locker in the bow and work my way to the fresh water washdown in the engine room.
I also blow out the line running from the tank to the pump and for good measure pour 2 gallons of cheap 80 proof vodka into the tank. Just in case.

Previous owner removed the windshield wiper arms... anyone have a part number for new ones and also what size blades? 1998 290...

That's the 1st thing I removed on my boat. They were beat up and I didn't want to hit the wiper button and scratch the windshield.

If you find any "new" ones or redesign the wiper system please post up.

Take a look at my 290 resource link below there is a parts booklet pdf for the 98 290 plus a bunch of other things you might be interested in.

Anyone else dealing with somewhat lower than normal winter temps and finding you are riding to the marina every night to warm the engines up? Just me? LOL

this is the time of the year i obsess over how well I winterized and repeatedly check the various points on the engine with a refractometer. We were -8* yesterday morning

No bragging here, but it was 65 and sunny inside my shed yesterday. :D:D Not bad for Michigan this time of year. LOL.

Fixing little things like drawer latches, door tracks, ignition switches. Fun little winter projects. The boat's warm and beers are cold.;)
