Official 320 Dancer Thread

On another note,my plug(small tapered bolt) for the generator muffler has gone missing. Its actually larger than the engine muffler plugs.
Any insite as to where to get one or sizing for a substitute

Hello all, new to the forum as I am in contract on a 2003 320. Had the survey yesterday and found some items to address. One issue that I wanted to check on, we had water in the mid-ship bilge (bilge pump was not working = the issue). The one with the shower and AC box / bilge. I would think this bilge should be dry. Wondering if we can find where the water is coming from. It may be coming from the shower / AC box leaking but the water would have been there from last season than since the AC or Shower has not been used yet this year.

The only time I get water in that center bilge is when my sump box pump dies and overflows. Is the sumpbox pump working?

We believe it was working, we did here the sumpbox pump cycling on but now that I think about it I did not check to see if there was water coming from the discharge. Maybe that pump is not working causing the box to overflow.

I dont have a vacum but it think we are talking the same locale. Right behind the stairs port side under cushion in mid berth.
That is exactly right; I get the added benefit of electrical connections in there which is awesome with water.....

Help 320 DA owners who have installed Mercury Vessel View. I have run both engine cables into my 6 way. I have plugs in three I have my two cables from my engines plugged into two and my Vessel View plugged in. I keep getting an error code that one of my ignition's is not turned on? Does anyone kn ow what I may be missing here?

does it display info for both engines?
No that is what my issue is. I loaded the app put in the information for two engines and my fuel tank size then I get the error message that one of my of my ignition systems needs to be turned on.

starboard engine the non functional?
I don't know because when I go to load the app the Vessel View comes up I have my Boat Name in there and all my other information but after telling it I have two engines and my fuel tank size I get the error message.

Waste hoses question.greenw/white stripe brand
Looks like mine are aged, prob originals from 06, cracked along the bends in hoses. I ordered a replacement for the easy one from holding tank to discharge seacock, thats a no brainer. However the other section from the head to the holding tank is in same condition.
Has anyone tackled this replacement? The hose runs through sections that looks to be contained in spray foam sealant. Know how much fun that stuff is. i know external cracks dont mean leaks, but prob fume permeation.

Port fuel gauge is way off , I topped off and it show 0%. Im thinking sending unit, but can I check anything else?
Of course that the one waaaaay back under deck on port side. Does anyone know the size for a 100gal tank? And are there substitutes to searay part?

21 inch size. If you don't have the cover plate in the storage area you will have to install one.

Got my Vessel View Mobile working finally, un-installed the App then re-installed the App and it finally finished loading the App. So excited to have this for the 320.

Thank you very much. A bit of a necessary undertaking. Not too bad though. 5 " access port should do? Do yo just eyeball/measure where to drill? Thanks again

My access port was already there but yes. Directly over top of the sender. Wasn't a hard job at all.

Thank Craig, I'm always leery about a couple things. Drilling holes in my boat and also working with electric and gasoline. If port isn't there, should I seal the rough hole edges? Battery switches off, disco the wires, remove old unit, clean surfaces and re install new(sealant?) , connect wires . Tank is pretty full prob 95%, nothing to worry about.

Don't need to seal the edges. Just put sealant around the cover plate. Disconnect battery with hatch open. Sender has a gasket no sealant needed. I used a power screwdriver with a nut driver and alternately tighten nuts. My tank was full also. Use a shop vac as you drill if you need the access hole. Wipe the top of the tank off before you remove the old sender. Probably getting the screws started by hand is the hardest part. Takes a little feel and patience.
