Anyone ever removed the Salon TV? I have a factory installed toshiba 32" tv that per the manual, has USB outlets that I'd like to plug an amazon fire stick into. For the life of me I can't figure out how they mounted the TV. The "Muff" or cover around it is super tight all the way around. I can see 3 phillips screws above the TV and 2 below, but I'm not even sure these would "release" the tv from the muff. I also looked around for screw covers in the vinyl to see if removing the muff was possible, but there's oddly only 1 visible and it's at the top left corner. I'm not going to destroy the cover or mount just for smart tv features, but there's got to be a way to go about this I'd imagine?
I know I’m replying to my own post but wanted to share this for anyone looking to do the same. I have been trying to figure out how to get to the back of our salon tv for some time now, to add a fire stick to the hdmi port for streaming. Finally figured it out last night. The panel that sits between the bulkhead and the tv “muff” is actually a cover that needs to be removed to access behind the tv and the tv mounts. There are 2 screw caps and 2 long stainless wood screws that need to be removed and the whole piece can be carefully pried out. With it gone you’ll have access to the back side of the tv and it’s wiring. So happy I finally conquered this project!
