Having an issue with the companionway lock. Works fine with the key, but on the inside, the switch will not move. It’s in the unlocked position, can’t get it to move at all.
Has anyone had this issue, or replaced the whole assembly?
Thanks in advance
Chris
Thank you! That was it! I had no ideaWhen unlocking the door, turn the key clockwise until it stops, the turn counter clockwise one click (not all the way back), then try the interior lock function. Seems to be a two position safety thing, at least on my boat.
Is the power meter showing voltage? If not, check the power inlet where the cord is connected. Mine needed to be changed, as they were burned up. If that's good, maybe you have a bad main breaker. Also, make sure your breaker on the dock is good. Mine went bad a couple of weeks ago, and needed to have the marina replace it.Electrical Issue.
Seems all of the outlets on the starboard side are not working. Breakers have been set, reset numerous times, I opened up the engine area to check for any tripped breakers and all is OK there.
I read a few posts from other size DA boats and they talked about a GFI outlet being the source. Our GFI in the head area is working fine which also is on the same circuit as the outlet over the galley area. From the mid-cabin outlet in the mirrored-cabinet all the way forward to the TV in the fore stateroom, no AC. Also, when we would turn the "starboard systems" breaker on, we would hear the central vac come on briefly. We no longer hear that.
Any ideas or suggestions? We are down in St. Pete for the weekend getting by with an extension cord, but that is not a safe thing on a boat. Welcome any and all input.
Vince

Thanks for the tip. I did look along the couch and saw an outlet and it was not a GFI, but I forgot that you told me it was in the cabinet. I am hoping I can hit the magic (GFI reset) button and all is well. I will be over the boat this week and take a look.Check in the cabinet, above the couch, just fwd of the main electrical cabinet. I have a gfci in there. Just aft of the cabinet with the radio/disc changer
