1999 Sea Ray 450DA Galley AC power/lights not working.
The two AC powered lights and the AC power points in the galley suddenly stopped working on both genset and shore power, but all other AC lights and power points work OK. Can't seem to find a breaker that isolates these circuits. Any suggestions on where it might be?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you have a GFCI outlet that has tripped. Sea Ray does a great job of hiding these buggers, and hopefully either you find it on your own or one of the 450DA guys will chime in and let you know where it is.

There's 2 GFCI's on our boat, port is located master head medicine cabinet above the sink and starboard is located in the galley sink cabinet on the left side...

Has anyone replaced the AC unit in the salon? Looks like interference in the form of sofa framing must be removed. What kind of job is that? Thanks for your help.

Can the cabinet In the aft cabin be removed? Or at least the bottom portion? That sofa has a few bolts that are next to impossible to reach

Just curious
Does anyone know what our boats cost when they were new?
I m in the process of picking up a 95 with 3126,s
Thanks

My boat is a '96 and I have the BOS to the original owner. It was fully loaded with commercial grade B&G + Furuno electronics and and ultra leather interior, and the cost in 1997 was $389K.............

Hey everyone, bout to pull the trigger on a 97 450, 3126 CATs 311 original hours. Active duty naval engineering officer for 23 years, coming from the go fast world. Going to slow down and enjoy the ride for a little while. Look forward to getting the boat down here in Va Beach and making it my own. Now to go read all these pages of info.

Congrats on the boat! I am in the process of shopping as well and the 45DA is on my list of possible boats. I just went through the entire thread and learned a lot. Quick recap, little complaints and a lot of happy owners.

Yeah i look forward to it, should be a good boat here for the Chesapeake Bay. Lots of destination trips will be planned and the kids will have their own room haha. I was reading through the thread as well. Seems like a lot of normal boat issues.

Exactly the same plan for us but we will be starting on the Upper Chesapeake. Goal is to have a boat in the slip by May 1.

Nice, hope to have mine down here by next month. Traveling a lot this year inspecting ships for the Navy, but if you all take a trip to Va Beach look me up.

Couple of questions on these boats. First, is there a quick cheat sheet on these with what to look for? Is one year preferred over others? Any preference between the 350 and 420hp options?

I prefer the galley to port and so far it looks like all that I have looked at online (20+) have the white cabinets. Does anyone has pics of the interior floor converted to vinyl flooring? Has anyone tackled the job of making the interior look a little more modernized by resurfacing the cabinets?

Trying to get a feel for what is possible on these boats.

SN, I had galley to Star with washer/dryer. Maple surface. If you would like pictures of maple let me know. Also we had a canvas runner over carpet. The advantage was that sweeping and cleaning it(washer) was easy. There is a video on line(YT) that a CSR did using vinyl and it was outstanding. One last thing. I saw a YT video where a guy resurfaced a 28 Bayliner cabinets. It looked amazing. As far as engine config: I had the 420 hp 3126's. I have been around here a long time and just from other's post I really do not think there is a Big difference. 3126 a little more power and 3116 a little more economical? JC
