I listened in amazement to some people I know who were not conspiracy theorists or had any history of anti-government leaning state they now believe this is part of a human behavior study observing the current state of the masses and learning human behaviors towards the ultimate utopian quest to control everyone outside the elite class.

I was shocked to hear “normal” people talk that way.

I was out at a steakhouse in St Louis last week and overheard the older folks at the table next to me discussing devolution. :D

And that is the beauty of this. We should have that choice. Until there is longer term proven data it should not be mandated and careers should not be threatened.

You should read what is written before throwing insults. What I said, and provided references for, was that the fact that the vaccines were not designed to eliminate spread, only to reduce disease and death, which they are doing. This was very clear from widely available material. Heck, @El Capitan pointed it out to us back in February.
I don't disagree that the vaccines were over-hyped by politicians. But, anyone who believed everything they said was not paying attention. You ought to question whatever comes out of "TPTB" rather than taking it on faith.

Its now debatable if they “reduce” COVID cases especially given current case loads. Nobody can compare cases if no one got vaxx vs vaxxed population.

It’s well written it wanes quickly and doesn’t prevent spread nor has it compelled politicians from confiscating liberty.

That’s a tragedy.
 
Just talked to a guy at work today (we all work from home) and he is fully vaxxed and said he just tested positive. Another guy I worked with was fully vaxxed and died about 2 months ago from COVID. Just got a text that a father and son (about 70 and 50 years old) on my bowling team won't be there tomorrow. No idea if it is COVID or not but will probably find out tomorrow. They are both fully vaxxed. In fact, I know more people now that have COVID that are vaxxed than I do non-vaxxed. Simple math tells you that is likely because what, 70% of the U.S. is vaxxed? So that alone says most cases would be vaxxed folks. But my point is, the vax doesn't protect you. MAYBE the symptoms are less severe but that hasn't necessarily been proven.
And I hear the comments and 'statistics' that most in the hospital are unvaxxed. That may be true but I'd like to see how many of those are on gov't funded healthcare vs those they pay their own. Reason for this is I know many on welfare that go to the ER for a hangnail where folks like me don't go to the ER unless you are about to step one foot in the grave. Based on what I hear from MSM many of the unvaxxed are from poorer communities so there may be a link there. Knock on wood but I haven't been to the hospital in about 15-20 years. We know people on welfare that literally go to the ER 5-6 times a year. When I had COVID I didn't even call my Dr. Sat at home and recovered where someone that doesn't have to pay anything out of pocket would have shown up at the ER when they got a runny nose? Since they are more likely to be unvaxxed then it stands to reason they will boost the numbers of unvaxxed in the hospital.

More than a quarter of them had booster shots. Given that the overall background rate for vaccination in Germany is 70%, this means that the shots now have a -87% effectiveness rate against Omicron.

2) Omicron among vaccinated outpacing unvaccinated by 28% in Ontario: The government in Ontario posts continuous data on case rates by vaccination status. The fact that the vaccinated have rapidly overtaken the unvaccinated in new infections demonstrates a clear negative effect of the shots against Omicron.

3) In Denmark, 89.7% of all Omicron cases were among fully vaccinated: As of Dec. 31, just 8.5% of all cases in Denmark were unvaccinated, according to the Statens Serum Institut. Overall, 77.9% of Denmark is fully vaccinated, and Omicron seems to hit younger people for whom there is a greater unvaccinated pool, which indicates clear negative efficacy. Even for non-Omicron variants, the un-injected composed only 23.7% of the cases.

4) Just 25% of the Omicron hospitalizations in the U.K. are unvaccinated: Not only are the vaccinated more likely to contract Omicron, but they are likely more at risk to be hospitalized. While American hospitals put out unverifiable information about “nearly everyone seriously ill with COVID being unvaccinated,” the U.K. continues to put out quality continuous data that shows the opposite. According to the U.K.’s Health Security Agency’s latest “Omicron daily overview,” just 25% of those in the hospital with suspected Omicron cases are unvaccinated.

5) 33 of 34 hospitalizations in Delhi hospital were vaccinated: The Indian Express reported that 33 of the 34 people hospitalized for Omicron in Delhi’s Lok Nayak hospital were fully vaccinated. Two of them received the booster shot. While some of them were international travelers, it’s important to remember that India has a much lower vaccination rate than the West. This is another small indication that not only might one be more likely to get Omicron after having gotten the shots, but possibly could be more vulnerable to hospitalizations, very likely due to some form of antibody dependent disease enhancement (ADE).

6) Vaccinated exponentially more likely to get re-infected with COVID: A new preprint study from Bangladesh found that among 404 people re-infected with COVID, having been vaccinated made someone 2.45 times more likely to get re-infected with a mild infection, 16.1 times more likely to get a moderate infection, and 3.9 times more likely to be re-infected severely, relative to someone with prior infection who was notvaccinated. Although overall re-infections were rare, vaccination was a greater risk factor of re-infection that co-morbidities!

At least according to the British Health Agency, while the number of vaccinated infections may be greater, the risk of being hospitalized is much, much less. Isn't that what is really important?
People with Omicron are less likely to need hospitalization, U.K. report finds.
