I would like to make sure I am charging all three factory batteries. This a complete factor set up on my 1998 270. I want to make sure that I am charging all three batteries while the boat is plugged into shore power? Do I have to have the switches in a particular position?

No, the batteries charge in any switch position in the normal configuration. You can check by putting a multimeter on the batteries one at a time and checking for voltage increase when you turn the charger on.

Acuraguy81,

Can you be a little more specific with your question?

Mike,

I don't know if the OP is talking about the Perko battery switch only or if he is asking about the other switches in the boat's ac/dc panel in which case it will make a difference.

True, the was my assumption. You know what they say about the first three letters of that word....

I was talking about the main switches in the back of the boat. Not with the panel switches.
