Police Boat rescued 900 feet from crest of Niagara Falls!

Holy Sh!t!!!!!! That would have definitely been a depends moment for me!!! Amen to the good anchor brother!

Geesh, when I think that most states and the USCG don't require you to carry an anchor on board, then think about the thread on Hudson River law enforcement and someone griping about having to carry flares, this thread is a perfect example of carrying NECESSARY safety equipment on board even if it isn't REQUIRED.

My only question about the article about the two officers is....if they couldn't see the falls but could hear them, how difficult would it have been to just head upstream? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the falls would be downstream so you would head upstream to move further from the falls.

Just saying....

You'd have to know which way to turn. The Niagara is still pretty wide, and getting caught in fog doesn't help. I'm sure they had GPS, but the river moves quickly and were focused on the rescue mission.
